• I miss the feeling of security
• I miss the freedom I once had
• I miss working out regularly
• I miss having health insurance
• I miss studying and speaking Chinese
• I miss the feeling of being settled somewhere

i can't believe it's already august 22nd

Currently:

• Sitting in a coffee shop Tobes, my job hunting partner
• Drinking an overpriced Cappuccino that wasn't even that good
• Thinking about the good talk I had with Manuel last night
• Wearing rolled up jeans, purple shirt, and purple Crocs
• Wondering about how to finance my future life plans
• Procrastinating on starting the daily process of sending out my CV
• Wishing I could find the time to work on personal photo project
• Excited about applying to a promising opportunity in China
• Thrilled (and slightly shocked) that my scooter is still working
• Wanting to do a Week-in-the Life project very soon
• Loving all the new Chinese words I've been learning
• Trying to figure out my visa problems by the end of the week

not much to say

The weekends always seem to go by too fast. This weekend was especially quick. Saturday was by far my favorite day. I spent the entire afternoon in Snake Alley taking pictures with my Nikon, followed by a night of free drinks and latin music (which is the equation for perfection in my book). I spent Sunday hanging around the house, hanging out with friends, and just mentally preparing for the final week of October. I need to get a Halloween cosutme, new contacts, and some more pages done on my thesis. But besides that, this week is going to be pretty boring and lame. So not much to say today.

She is old, and a little banged up, but she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love her oh so much! I took her on a scoot to the Muzha on Friday, to the beach on Saturday, and to the movies on Sunday. I can't believe I waited this long to get a scooter. Best decision ever!
