Day 4 was mostly spent indoors. I did a lot of work, but from the comfort of my friend's lovely couch. I was so comfortable that I felt too lazy to go out and just ate a banana and granola bar for lunch. I was hungry most of the day, but I knew I'd be eating a big meal at dinner.
We went to a quaint French restaurant called Le Bouchon, and gorged on everything from escargot, to duck confit, steak tartare, to fois gras. Although the food was pretty tasty, the best part of the evening was the wine. I can't even remember the names of the bottles we had, but I do know they cost ridiculous amounts of money and were the best wines I've ever tasted. We ended up drinking five bottles among 5 people and had some really good insightful talks along the way.
It was a very memorable evening in Shanghai and one that I'm very grateful for. I love how every night is different here and that possibilities are all around me. It's an exciting feeling to be here right now. I think I made the right choice.
