Hello friends. Ni hao.
I've been so busy and slightly stressed, yet crazy happy. Life is hectic, but good.
Since my computer died a few weeks ago, I can't seem to find the energy to blog. I got word from the Mac store that it's going to cost $400 to fix my best friend. I can't decide what to do. $400 is a HUGE chunk of my monthly budget and I'm thinking that it might be best to just buy a new mac-baby when I find a job and have the money. What do you think?
I dyed my hair super dark two days ago. I did it while watching Obama's State of the Union Address. That's what I call being productive. It was time to cover those grays...it had been over 6 months since I had dyed my hair.
I am studying for the US foreign service officer exam. It's a pretty ideal job for me really. Living overseas, working at US embassies, that sort of work. But the first, and most important step, is passing the exam. I hear it's pretty difficult so I have my work cut out for me in the next few weeks.
My Kindle arrived yesterday...finally! It was a Christmas present that thanks to Amazon, was over a month late. However, I think it was worth the wait. I'm having fun exploring its functions and carrying around a super light electronic device versus heavy hardcover books.
Besides studying, looking for work, and an occasional workout, my life is simple and satisfying. I try to make each day count and I try to stay as productive as possible. Some days are better than others but at least I can say I'm trying my best. I'm happy it's Friday and that the weekend is around the corner, followed by Chinese New Years. More on that later.
